Interim HR Director / Interim Head of HR
Sometimes a senior HR leader moves on without warning. Sometimes a transformation stalls and nobody has the bandwidth to fix it. Sometimes organisations just need experienced HR leadership while they work out what comes next. I step in, stabilise the situation and keep things moving.
The situations that come up
- A senior HR leader has left and the organisation needs cover while a permanent appointment is made.
- A restructure or integration is underway and the existing HR team doesn't have the capacity or experience to lead it.
- The people function has lost direction and needs resetting before a permanent hire takes over.
- Complex employee relations or governance issues have built up and need steady, experienced handling.
- Leadership needs an experienced HR voice at the table during a period of significant change.
What interim leadership involves
- Leading the HR or People function during a transition
- Stabilising HR operations and people services
- Supporting or leading organisational change
- Managing complex employee relations or governance risk
- Preparing the function for a permanent appointment
What I bring
My background is in leading People Operations, Talent Acquisition and organisational change across regulated and operationally complex environments: insurance, telecoms, BPO and manufacturing.
Most of the roles I have taken on have been reset jobs: stepping in when things were hard to run, hard to trust, or both. That experience means I am comfortable in situations where clarity and steady judgement are needed quickly.
Interim engagements are typically three to six months, delivered on site, remotely or blended depending on what the organisation needs.
Need experienced HR leadership quickly?
If your organisation needs interim HR leadership to steady the situation, support change or keep momentum while a permanent appointment is made, drop me a line and tell me what's happening. We can usually work out in twenty minutes whether I'm the right fit.
